The Future of Discovery: Training Students to Build and Apply Open Source Machine Learning Models and Tools (FoDOMMaT) Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program fosters workforce diversity and inclusion by training and mentoring undergraduate students from diverse academic backgrounds in AI and HPC. This enables them to contribute impactful, openly shared research at the forefront of science and engineering. The program is perfect for students who wish to explore research but lack access to such opportunities, including those from two- and four-year colleges where research resources and specialized training may be limited.
