The National Center for Supercomputing Applications is celebrating a standout summer of discovery, collaboration, and hands‑on innovation. Across four major undergraduate research programs, students immersed themselves in cutting‑edge projects—from machine learning and cyberinfrastructure to computational modeling and data‑driven science—while building meaningful connections with mentors and peers. Their achievements culminated in the 4th Annual STEM Career Exploration and Symposium, where more than 200 interns showcased their work to hundreds of attendees. This story highlights the energy, talent, and community that make NCSA’s summer research programs a launchpad for the next generation of scientific leaders.
