DeltaAI is an advanced AI resource that will aid the National Center for Supercomputing Applications’ existing system, Delta.

DeltaAI will help accelerate AI machine learning and computing application. The U of I said this could help scientists and researchers address complex problems more efficiently.

“The demand for computing and data resources for research with and into artificial intelligence has exploded,” NCSA Director Bill Gropp said. “With the addition of DeltaAI to our suite of AI and machine-learning resources, NCSA is perfectly positioned to usher in a new era of innovative and responsible AI computing.”

DeltaAI will be housed in the former Blue Waters supercomputer Project site. It’ll quadruple NCSA’s AI-focused computing capacity and also increase the capacity available in the computing ecosystem.
